Alumni working for Venture for America
Teerth Brahmbhatt, Hayden Gridley and Olivia Nicolaus, were all Bay Area Innovation Fellows in the summer of 2015 however the group got even closer this summer after graduation. These three alumni from the E Minor class of 2016 recently departed from Venture for America training camp in Providence, Rhode Island. During this five week intensive experience, the new Venture for American class heard from employees of companies like IDEO, McKinsey and Yelp to learn and prepare for their full time work. This year there were 10 UNC alumni in total to head to VFA upon graduation. The biggest classes came from Duke, Georgetown and UNC.
Through a match process each of these students now know where they will spend the next two years. Teerth is now headed to New Orleans and Hayden to Philadelphia, both to work for startups. Olivia will be working at an investment firm in Baltimore.
