Econ 125 Featured in the Arts & Sciences Magazine
We're grateful to Kim Spurr and the Arts and Sciences Magazine for this great feature on last fall's inagural superclass Econ 125 with Chan. Thorp, Buck Goldstein, and John Akin.
Econ 125 will be offered again Fall 2013 to all Carolina undergraduates. Considering taking the course, John Akin has this important note about the learning objectives:
“Everybody doesn’t have to become an entrepreneur, but the notion that this is an entrepreneurial place, that people may have an idea and go out and turn it into something — we want that to be [the culture] of UNC. And the best time for students to learn what that’s all about is when they first arrive,” he said.
