Ms. Fu delivers the keynote address for UNC’s celebration of Global Entrepreneurship.
Inc. magazine named Ms. Fu 2005 Entrepreneur of the Year, saying, “Her odyssey from the old world to the new – from the bleakest totalitarianism to the most ebullient flowering of imagination and enterprise – forms a story worthy of a 21st-century Homer.”
Ms. Fu co-founded Geomagic and has led its growth from startup to worldwide leader in the digital shape-sampling and processing (DSSP) industry. Before starting Geomagic, she was director of visualization at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications, where she initiated and managed the Mosaic software project that led to Netscape and Internet Explorer.
Ms. Fu has more than 20 years of software industry experience in database, networking, geometry processing and computer graphics.
